Men's Call to Governance

Calling all men excited or frustrated by the political situation in our country. What happened to the vision of our Founding Fathers? What would government look like if Jesus were president? As Christians, how should we be involved? On June 30th and July 14th, 7:30-9 pm in the OBC Prayer Chapel, Men’s Call to Governance will look at what the Bible & our founding documents say about the issues. WE ARE HIS HANDS

This year more than any other in recent memory, people are going to need help in this economy. In mid-January OBC started a Food Pantry basket. Won’t you join in our commitment to our motto "We are His hands?”

If you'd like to help, when you come to church each Sunday, please bring along a nonperishable food item and drop it in the basket, which will be located in the entryway to the left near the stairs. When the basket is full, we will deliver the items to local food pantries on Cape Cod.

Get the kids involved! This is a wonderful family activity and a great way to teach them to give in the way Christ would want us to, every day. The DesRoches family will make a delivery to their home town food pantry one week out of every month. We are looking for more families, retirees, or others to deliver to a pantry of their choice the alternating weeks.

Anyone within our congregation who is in need themselves will always be encouraged and welcomed to take groceries (please call the church office at 508-428-2787 and speak with Ann or Judy if you have a need).

DID YOU KNOW...

Osterville Baptist Church is now sponsoring worship time on Renew FM 93.9.Tune in Monday through Fridays from 8:30- 9:00am to hear what is going on at OBC and to be blessed by Christian music worshiping our Lord. The radio station is also looking for people to call in (1-888-310- PRAY) and share their experience with the station. If you prefer, you can log onto their website (renewfm.org) and email your comments. Tune in to 93.9 FM Renew FM and check it out!

OBC Softball

We have two teams competing this summer. Pack a supper and some chairs and come support the Cape churches.

Moldova Missions Trip

For those interested in our ministry to MOLDOVA, the teen camp in Ivancea has been scheduled for July 6th-11th this summer. Youth camp has been rescheduled for July 13th-18th.  (more)

OSTERVILLE VILLAGE DAY FAIR

Saturday, July 18, 10:00 am-1:00 pm. Food, games, and crafts. Great community outreach and loads of fun. Opportunities for all to serve. Please sign up at the Welcome Center.

CROCODILE DOCK – Vacation Bible School - 2009

Coming July 13th-17th; ages 5 through Grade 5. It runs from 8: 45-11:45 AM. Get ready to rock the Dock!!!

PANERA BREAD

Bread is picked up Sunday nights, then delivered to the OBC kitchen counter, wrapped and ready for you the next morning! If you know anyone outside our church that would be blessed by this provision, just let us know and we’ll gladly have a bag ready for them! If you are interested in benefitting from this abundant blessing, please contact the church office.

CALLING ALL MEN!

You will be blessed by attending Men’s Life on Saturday mornings at 7:00 o’clock in Room 101 at OBC. We have a great time talking, studying God’s Word, and even going out on a few “rabbit trails.” The fellowship is great and always benefits those that take the “first” hour of their Saturdays to honor God. Give it a try, men, and you’ll like it!
